The family, August 2006

Scott Hull and family

Every August we go to a Medieval recreation camping event known as Pennsic.  This year was no exception, however we went for a much shorter time than usual and we took it easy, especially Scott!  This picture was taken at Pennsic this year. In the picture are Scott (Gallen),  and Martha (Rheannon), with daughters Shannon, (”The TEENAGER!” ;-) )and Erin (Tonks).

I gotta say, as scary as the prospect of a >>TEENAGER

I gotta say, as scary as the prospect of a *TEENAGER* is, it’s Erin I would want on my side…or at least not up against me. That is one INTENSE stare/glare. If you need to intimidate any doctors or film crew, she’s the one to do it ;) (great family pic, BTW)

First comment to Martha. You are the braveist of the brave. You have gone thru a lot present, past and in the future. Now is the time to take care of Martha. Scott is coming along beautifully and has a lot of help there in the hospital helping him. You rest and eat. Scott needs you when he comes home and so do those girls.
Second comment goes out to Scott. Who at this time could care less about comments and more about getting out of there. Scott you know I love you as a close friend. When reading Martha’s update the tears flowed down my cheeks. I am so glad it is over at least the worst part. From here on out rest and get well. Everyone at my church and most of all everyone at Goddard have been praying and thinking and reading about you. This Blog is the best communications that was invented. Though hard on Martha. By the time you get around to reading all the comments and cards you will be back to work and living a normal life again. You are one strong man and I am proud to be your friend.
Third Comment goes to Marcus. Without your love and kindness towards your cousins all this might not have happen. You are a strong beautiful man and I also included you in my Church prays. Everyone was praying for you too. Just keep up the good work and come home now. From me to you THANK YOU for helping a dear sweet friend have a chance in life again.
And to everyone else that has been there for the two family’s GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
Scott my famous words to you remember………”Beam me up Scottie”. Well you have beamed me up with your courage and your drive. GOD BLESS YOU.

Yes, Martha everyone here at work wants your Address to send cards to Scott. Also, please send Marcus address too. Marcus is a hero. It took a lot to share his Liver and we want to thank him for saving our dear friend. Tell them both our prays are forever and continue to improve and get well.

Your friends and family at Goddard Space Flight Center.

Let me add yet another comment about mailing addresses, Martha - Tony Stevens and Julie Hanson have both asked about sending cards to Scott; but I only have your email address.

Speaking of which - you might want to touch base with Jay and Julie, they went through a similar crisis last year.

It was good to see you at Pennsic, glad we could share some time together there, our annual reunion it seems. May the good memories of the campfires and music, tales and bizarre people keep that spark moving you forward. Shannon, you’re growing so large! But, you still have a ways to go to be as tall as the Grand High Pierogi. Great family picture, too.
We hope to see you more than once a year, and may the journey back to regular days and nights be an easier one than it has been,
    Best,
    Varaslav
